sold, are you still on Lansoprazole? I'm on Omeprazole for gastric reflux.
Tell you the truth I'm dreading the camera down my gullet the next time, I have a very strong gag reflex, they said they might have to go down via the nose, which sounds even worse

having a burst duodenal ulcer at 17 years old I have had at least half a dozen or so... had at least 3 when I was guinea pigging Lanzoprazole back in the 90's... much prefer being put out than the other option... personally...

Had a stone stuck between my kidney and bladder. They put a stent (and camera) in using the direct route - describing it as "non invasive"! Pissing razor blades for days after. They were hoping I'd pass the stone but I didn't, so a month later I was back to have the stent out, and a laser and something to grab the remaining stone (and a camera) shoved up my jap eye. Pissing razor blades for days again. Pee-hole surgery is a bastard.

Had sigmoidoscopy a few weeks ago .
The camera going in felt like they were trying to shove an old Kodak Brownie up there .
Not half as bad as a tube down the throat to the stomach. Threatened to kill the nurse if she didn't take it out !!

I’ve had it a few times and it’s fucking horrible. Probably like you I have a big gag reflex and it felt like torture first time , I was almost fighting them to pull it out. Next times I had it I insisted on sedation and knew nothing till I woke up...far better.

What amazes me is all this technology we have and these cameras are still attached to what is a bleeding hose pipe!! I thought we would have little cameras the size of a pill we could swallow by now as per Dennis Quaid in Inner Space!!

I had mine done privately but was rather surprised to be taken outside to a portacabin where I was 'attended' by 2 women. In a portacabin no-one can hear you scream.

Yep had similar years ago. Consultant laid a blue cloth over the nether regions and cut a hole in it to pull the old boy through. He then left the room leaving me lying there for 5 minutes. Upon his re-arrival he introduced me to two nurses, one who was "observing" who had been standing in the corner the whole time, totally unnoticed by the deaf git here. Thankfully I kept my mouth shut and hands away in that 5 minutes although I prayed that they wouldn't be in the pub on the Friday!

I've had three. I took the valium and throat spray and still the first and second one felt like being as pissed as I have ever been then tortured. Fucking horrible.
I really didn't want another as it was so unpleasant and the doctor (a woman) asked me what was so bad about it?
I said that I have trouble breathing through my nose and it felt like I was drowning and she said 'well why didn't you breathe through your mouth then'?
It turns out that the camera and lead have breathing holes in them. She performed the endoscopy, I had the throat spray and the valium and besides a massive burp it was relatively okay.
Not exactly nice but breathing through your mouth makes it a bit easier.

Had that and the Sigmoidoscopy done last few years. At least with the Sigmoidoscopy you could puff away on the gas. I over did it and was as high as a kite! Mate had the endoscopy done day before me and said it was fine so thought I'd brave it. I was gagging for England and had tears running down my face. Glad my mate thought it was funny!

I’ve had the Japs eye one, but refused it initially, then they said they’d do it with a general anaesthetic
Having a gypsys for the next couple of days was a nause.
